I noticed that a few of us seem to be in to anime...not trying to start a Holy War here or anything, I'm just curious as to favorites/hatreds, etc. My personal favs are probably Cowboy Bebop, FlCl, RahXephon, and Steel Angel: Karumi (Yeah, that one doesn't really fit what most people think of me, but I like the story and it's well drawn). As far as hatreds go, so far the only anime I've refused to watch more than 3 episodes of was Sayuki (sp?) on the grounds that the action was pretty sad, in my book. My guilty pleasure of anime is probably Outlaw Star. I even have the opening theme ( Through the Night) on an MP3 cd in my car. Yes, yes, I'm a nerd. In terms of manga, I love Immortal Rain, Model, and Angel Sanctuary. Most of the manga I've read I've enjoyed, although I'm not a big fan of One Piece, just because it doesn't seem to get anywhere. As far as guilty pleasures go there, it would probably have to be Model as well- it's not incredibly good work, but I was drawn to it like a moth to flame. Anyone else care to take a stab?

Oh man! I hate Sayuki! I'm totally anti-dub as well. Subs or raw! Thats the only way I takes me anime! NGE especially. I was so excited about it being on CN last night and then BAM! Horrible dubbing!!! ;_; どうして?!?!?! My all time favorite is the Count of Monte Christo AKA Gankutusou. I'm not even sure if its out State-side yet, but I loved it! FMA is cool too. Dubbing is tolerable. Other faves include Excel Saga, Trigun, and recently kazemakaze. Yes, I too listen to anime music in my car. I cosplay now and then too... I'm a hopeless Otaku. *Sigh*

::lol::
I never did get into DDR. My current roommate got me hooked on the subs as opposed to dubs, with Trigun. Most of my stuff I've seen both versions of, and some of them aren't too bad- I still think of Spike and Faye as having the English voices, but Noir, Samurai Gun, Initial D and Samurai Deeper: Kyo are all firmly Japanese in my mind. No English voices at all.
